An application programming interface (API) that can be used to provide print services for Web and middleware applications. With e-Print Remote, these applications can print to any printer (including ATB2) whether it is a network printer or local to the workstation. e-Print Remote works in conjunction with e-Vantage e-Print Java Applet and also provides the ability to read information from devices such as credit card readers, bar code scanners and passport readers.
This applet provides Web-based host printing from an IBM TPF host, Unisys ClearPath IX or 2200 Series host, computer reservation system (CRS), or custom application. Configuration of the printer applet determines how printing operates, such as to which host the printer applet connects, which printer is used, and how the print job operates.
e-Print Java Applet does not support printing through the operating system's printing subsystem. For example, if you're using Windows, do not add a printer that is assigned to a port that e-Print Java Applet is using. Doing so may prevent e-Print Java Applet from opening the device, or cause the print job to be very slow. |
If this documentation is installed on a computer that has e-Print Java Applet or e-Print Remote installed, "Component Help" links for these components will appear in the list below, providing access to more information. |
