Removing Cached Files at the Client

The procedure for removing cached files at the client varies, depending on the type of files being removed, and the browser used:

Note Netscape Communicator 6.0 does not support caching Java viewers at the client; only applications can be cached.
To remove cached applications
  • At the client, delete the java_plugin_AppleStore folder.

The location of this folder varies, depending on the operating system being used at the client:

    Operating System
    Location
    Windows 95 or Windows 98 \Windows
    Windows NT \Winnt\Profiles\user_name
    Windows 2000 \Documents and Settings\user_name

If the files are in memory, you might have to reboot the PC before you can delete this folder.
