New ID Wizard: ID Names Page

Do this
Assign a single ID to a single name Type the ID to assign to the name.
Assign multiple IDs to a single name Type the beginning ID.

For example, if you type T100 in the Starting ID text box, select Generate Multiple IDs, and type 4 in the Number Of IDs To Generate text box, the name will be assigned four IDs, beginning with T100 (T100, T101, T102, and T103).

If you type a value that does not end in a digit, an incrementing number is appended to the end of the text. For example, if you type NewID, the first ID will be NewID1, the second will be NewID2, the third will be NewID3, and so forth.

Assign a single ID to multiple names Type the ID to assign to the first name.

The IDs for all other names are incremented automatically. For example, if you selected four names and type T100 in the Starting ID text box, the first name is assigned T100, the second is assigned T101, the third is assigned T102, and the fourth is assigned T103.

If you type a value that does not end in a digit, an incrementing number is appended to the end of the text. For example, if you type NewID in the Starting ID text box, the first ID will be NewID1, the second will be NewID2, the third will be NewID3, and so forth.

Assign multiple IDs to multiple names Type the beginning ID.

For example, if you selected four names, type T100 in the Starting ID text box, select Generate Multiple IDs, and type 2 in the Number Of IDs To Generate text box, each name is assigned two IDs, beginning with T100 (the first name is assigned T100 and T101, the second is assigned T102 and T103, the third is assigned T104 and T105, and the fourth is assigned T106 and T107).

If you type a value that does not end in a digit in the Starting ID text box, an incrementing number is appended to the end of the text. For example, if you type NewID in the Starting ID text box, the first ID will be NewID1, the second will be NewID2, the third will be NewID3, and so forth.

Note For IDs that are hexadecimal values (such as EDS SHARES and Sabre IP LNIATAs), when the value ends in an alphabetic character (such as 0101AA), the value increments in standard hexadecimal format (such as 0101AA, 0101AB, 0101AC, and 0101AD).

Generate multiple IDs: Select this option to assign multiple IDs to one or more names.

If you clear this option, you will assign only one ID to one or more names.

Number of IDs to generate: If you selected Generate multiple IDs, type the number of IDs to assign to each name. For example, to assign 2 IDs to each name, you would type 2 in this text box.

If Generate multiple IDs is cleared, you cannot type in this text box.
