Names to search for: When Duplicates is cleared, you can type the name or range of names to search for.

IDs to search for: When Duplicates is cleared, you can type the ID or range of IDs to search for.

Duplicates: Select this option to search for duplicate IDs (that is, IDs that have been assigned to more than one name for use with the same host or UTS host application). When you select this option, Names To Search For, IDs To Search For, Users, IP Addresses/DNS Names, and Pools appear dimmed. When you clear this option, you can search for specific names and IDs, and can limit the search to selected types of names.

Users: Select this option to include user names in your search. You can select this option only if Duplicates is cleared. If you clear this option, user names will not be included in your search results.

Pools: Select this option to include address pools in your search. You can select this option only if Duplicates is cleared. If you clear this option, address pools will not be included in your search results.

IP addresses / DNS names: Select this option to include IP addresses and DNS names in your search. You can select this option only if Duplicates is cleared. If you clear this option, IP addresses and DNS names will not be included in your search results.

Search: Click this button to search the ID Manager data file for the specified information.

Search Results: Once you specify what you want to search for and then click Search, the list of names and IDs that match the specified search criteria (if any) appear in this list. This information is presented in the following columns:

If Duplicate IDs Icon appears before the name, the displayed ID has been assigned to another name for use with the same host. You must delete or change the value of the duplicate ID, change the host name alias, or change the UTS host application.

You can sort the items in this list by clicking the column headings. For example, to sort the data alphabetically by name, click the Name column heading. Clicking the column heading again reverses the order of the sort.

To resize the columns, move the mouse pointer over the column separator, press and hold down the left mouse button, and move the pointer to the right or left.

Add ID To Name: Click this button to start the New ID Wizard. Using this wizard, you can assign a new ID to the selected names in the Search Results list. If no name is selected in the Search Results list, this button appears dimmed.

ID Properties: Click this button to change the properties of the selected ID in the Search Results list. If no ID is selected in the Search Results list, or if more than one ID is selected, this button appears dimmed.

Rename ID: Click this button to change the selected ID in the Search Results list into an editable field so that you can rename it. If no ID is selected in the Search Results list, or if more than one ID is selected, this button appears dimmed.

Delete ID: Click this button to delete the selected ID from the Search Results list. If no ID is selected in the Search Results list, this button appears dimmed.
