New Name Wizard: Name Information Page

Pool name: Type a name for the address pool (such as Accounting). This name cannot contain spaces, commas, periods, or slashes. This text box appears only if you selected Address pool on the Name Type page.

IP address or DNS name: Type the IP address (such as 123.234.0.12) or DNS name (such as PC_1.domain_1.com) of the client. This text box appears only if you selected IP address or DNS name on the Name Type page.

Lease timeout: Type the number of hours that must elapse before any ID assigned to this name becomes available for another session.

For example, if the lease timeout is 2, ID Manager waits 2 hours after the user closes the session before making the ID available for another session.

If you type 0 or omit a value, the ID is made available to another session as soon as the first session closes.

Inactivity timeout: Type the number of minutes of inactivity that must elapse before each session closes automatically.

For example, if you type 90 here and the user does not transmit data for 90 minutes, the session closes automatically. The ID then becomes available for another session as soon as the lease timeout elapses.

If you type 0 or omit a value, the session never closes automatically.

Note The lease and inactivity timeout values apply to all IDs associated with this name.

If your list of IDs for this name includes IDs for a printer applet, it is recommended that you type 0 or omit a value for the Inactivity Timeout, since printer applets typically receive but do not transmit data. Otherwise, the printer applet session will always close automatically after the specified time elapses.
