Cluster Management: Remove Server Page

Cluster name: Displays all of the server clusters that are currently registered with Management & Control Services (MCS). If you have a standalone installation of MCS, or have only added servers to one cluster, only the default cluster name (MCS Cluster) is listed.

Server name: Displays the servers that belong to the cluster selected in the Cluster name list.

Remove server: Enter the name of the server that you want to remove from the selected cluster. To do so, click a server in the Server name list or type the server name in this field.

Remove: Click this button to remove the selected server from the cluster.

If there is only one server in the cluster, then the cluster is also deleted (except in the case of the default cluster, MCS Cluster). If you delete the primary server from the cluster, the secondary server with the highest priority is promoted to primary. (See Overview of MCS Server Clustering for a discussion of the primary server's role in a cluster.)
