Syntax:

INDEPENDENT TRUE or FALSE

Some user-written formats might change the values in UPDATE_INFO for various reasons. This option determines whether the UPDATE_INFO data is restored with the original values before each call to a filter and format, as follows:

Value	Description
TRUE	Each filter and format sees the original UPDATE_INFO values.
FALSE	Default. Each filter and format sees UPDATE_INFO the way the previous format left it.
