Override the DATABridge Engine COMMIT Frequency

From the Client Console, you can override the commit frequency for the DATABridge Engine or DATABridge Enterprise Server as the default Client behavior. The override setting is only in effect for the duration of the Client connection.

The Task Time view provides commit statistics that can help you determine how much to adjust these parameters to improve performance. For more information, see Get Statistical Information.

To override the commit frequency

  1. In the Explorer view, right-click the data source and choose Client Configuration.
  2. On the left, expand the Processing category and select DBEngine and DBEnterprise Parameters.
  3. Use the Commit parameters to specify the type of commit frequency you want the client to override.

For a description of these options, click the Help button Help button in the lower-left corner of the Client Configuration dialog box.

  4. When you're done, click OK.

Your settings are saved to the client configuration file.

To override the commit frequency for an active process command

Use this procedure to override the DATABridge Engine commit frequency for an active process command. Your settings apply to the active DBClient run in question and do not affect the default commit frequency setting specified in the client configuration file.

  1. In the Explorer view, select a data source.
  2. From the Runs menu, select Client Options.
  3. In the Client Options dialog box, specify a value for one or more parameters.
