Specifying Web Builder Setting Options

There are two setting options available to you:

The setting options vary depending on your selection.

Common Settings

These setting options are used to generate all projects.

To use Common settings
  1. From the Options menu, select Web Builder Settings.

  2. In the left pane, click Common.
    Select this
    To do this
    Launch in browser when build succeeds Automatically open projects in a browser after they have been successfully generated.
    Use verbose logging Expand the information in the log file and provide helpful information for use in diagnosing build issues.
    Store projects in this directory Specify the directory in which Web Builder finds and builds projects. The default is <install dir>/projects. Click Browse to specify another directory.

    The directory you specify applies to all projects you open and save in Web Builder. Any changes to the default folder does not affect the location of previous Web Builder projects.

  3. To return the common settings to their default values, click Defaults.

Microsoft Tools Settings

These settings are specific for projects that use Microsoft Tools.

To use Microsoft Tools settings
  1. From the Options menu, select Web Builder Settings.

  2. In the left pane, click Microsoft Tools.
    Select this
    To do this
    .NET Studio Home Identify the directory in which Web Builder can find the .NET Studio files.

    The default is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003. Click Browse to specify another directory.

    The first time it runs, Web Builder searches for the latest version of .NET. If you install a new or more recent version, you may have to change this setting.

  3. To return the Microsoft Tools settings to their default values, click Defaults.
