Import XML Model

File menu > Import XML Model > Import

You can use the XML model file export and import feature to programmatically manipulate a model file outside the Design Tool. You can modify global and repetitive changes, plus generate entire models based on an existing external description of the host application. After you make changes, the XML file can be imported back into the Design Tool and opened as a .model file.

To import the XML-based documentation

To import the XML-based documentation about your custom model or one of the sample models provided with the Design Tool,

1. Type the name of the file in the File box.

   By default, the XML file is saved in the \<VHI install directory>\models\<model name> folder.

2. Click Browse to save the XML-or HTML-based documentation in a different location.

3. Click OK to commit your changes or click Cancel to close this dialog box.
