.NET 2.0 (C#) Web Service Properties

When .NET Web Service is selected in a Project Properties dialog box, you can configure these properties:

• Method timeout
  

  Specifies how long to wait for a method to complete before timing out. The default is 30 seconds.

 

• Locale
  

  Specifies the locale (or language) that the generated files use to communicate with the Host Integrator Server. Change this setting only if you provide locale-specific resources or files for the Host Integrator Server. The default uses the current operating system locale.

 

• Require username and password
  

  Specifies whether generated web applications use Host Integrator security to connect to the host. If you select this option, User ID and Password are added as parameters to each Web service method.

 

• Require secure connection
  

  Select this option to use a secure connection between the Verastream Host Integrator connector and the Verastream Host Integrator server. This option forces a secure connection even if the server setting is not set to require a secure channel

• Return type
  

  If the client is connecting from the .NET environment, select Data Set as the Return type. For most other environments, select Array as the Return type.
