Edit Table Columns

This dialog box lists information about table columns in the context of the current procedure. You can use the Edit Table Columns dialog box to select procedure parameters from a list of all available table columns, and to add, delete, or modify columns.

Column
Displays the columns in the table, which are also the filter and output parameters available for the procedure. Each parameter is mapped to an attribute, recordset field, or to another parameter.

Key
This column is used to identify the key; this property is listed in the metadata so that it can be used by a client.

Type
The data type for the column, which is either Float, Integer, or Text. You can display the Type choices by clicking the down arrow on the far right side of the Type box.

Filter
Indicates whether a column is Required, Optional, or unnecessary (No) for processing incoming requests for this procedure. You can change a column's Filter value by clicking the Filter box. To add a filter parameter to the list, click the Add Column button and add a new column. Note: Changing a filter from Required or Optional to No removes all existing mapping for that parameter; click Cancel to preserve the mapping.

Output
When Output is selected, the procedure returns the column when Host Integrator receives a valid query. To add an output parameter to the list, click the Add Column button and add a new column. Note: Clearing the output check box removes all existing mapping for that parameter; click Cancel to preserve the mapping.

Data
This option is used for INSERT and UPDATE procedures. The INSERT procedure adds data to the host application from the column. For an UPDATE procedure, data in the host application is updated by the column. To add a data parameter to the list, click the Add Column button and add a new column. Note: Changing data from Required or Optional to No removes all existing mapping for that parameter; click Cancel to preserve the mapping.
