Save Settings As

Click Save Settings As to create a settings file. This file can then be used as the basis for creating a new model with the same settings. The .dtool file you create can include Design Tool-specific configuration information such as window size, colors, keymapping, and preferences, as well as information about the host application and connection settings.

A settings file can contain terminal configuration information for the Design Tool, such as terminal type, model ID, transport type, port, host name or IP address, and device name. It can also contain settings for window size, colors, keymapping, and preferences. Settings files are optional: No model-specific information is contained in the settings file.
