COM Connector Requirements

The Host Integrator COM connector requires the appconn.dll. When you select the AppConn COM Connector option in the Select Components dialog box of the Host Integrator Setup, a copy of this file is installed in your Winnt\system32 folder by default.

To use the COM connector to develop an application that accesses the host application model file on your Host Integrator Server, you need one of the following development environments installed on your machine:

If you are creating a client application using Visual Basic or C++, you need a Windows-based operating system and Microsoft Visual Studio version 6.0 or higher.
If you are creating a web-based client application using JScript or VBScript with Active Server Pages (ASP), you need Windows 2000 with IIS version 5.0, Windows XP with IIS Version 5.1, or Windows Server 2003 with IIS 6.0.
