Transaction Studio Walk-through
The process of making legacy data and logic available for integration with your custom applications begins in the studio where host transactions, referencing COBOL programs on the host, are used to create client operations. Client operations, consisting of client schema, map the inputs and outputs from the host program, and identify which data items from the COBOL copybooks (specified in the host program data structure) to include in the input and output fields for the interface object.
Once you've created the client operation, the next step is to build the project which produces a Java bean that you can use to build client applications or expose as a Web service.
