- In the MCS left pane, point to Products and then click Services Builder for IMS.
- Under Services Builder for IMS, expand the Deployments tree, expand the Tasks tree, and then click Registered Runtimes.
- From the Registered Runtime Servers page, click Add.
- In the Add Runtime Server page under Runtime Server Name, type a name for your server/task association.
This name appears in a list of registered run-time servers when you later configure your task.
- Type the host name or IP address, and the RMI port address of the computer on which the Runtime Service is installed.
The default RMI port is 6900. To use a different RMI port, you must change the RMI port on the Runtime Service server and then enter the new RMI port address here.
-or-
Manually configure the port address and other run-time server configurations using the IMSClientConfig.xml file. (For more information, see Manually Configuring the Client Environment.)
The URL, which describes the location of the runtime server, is created automatically as you add values for the other options, protocol://hostname:port. If you edit the URL directly, your changes also affect the corresponding options.
- Finish registering the run-time server:
Choose

Return to the Run-time Server list |
Save to List and Add Another Server |
Remain on the Registering Run-time Server page in order to add additional run-time servers. |
- When you have added all of the run-time servers, choose Apply All Changes.
You can make multiple changes to different registered run-time servers without saving the changes individually. When you choose Apply All Changes, all changes made to any registered run-time server are sent to the Registered Runtime Server database, causing the modifications to take effect. Apply All Changes will also cause any changes that have not already been applied to the Task Configuration pages to take effect
The next step is to associate tasks with agent clusters.
