J2EE Session EJB Deployments

The J2EE Session EJB Deployments page provides a view of all your packaged session EJBs and connectors, the registered application server they are associated with, their deployment status, and a jumping off point to the New/Edit wizard pages, which are used to add, deploy, or download new session EJB and connector configurations, or edit existing ones.

JNDI name:  The unique name used to deploy the packaged session EJB. Each EJB and connector must have a unique JNDI name, which is entered in the JNDI name fields on the Deployment Options page of the wizard. The JNDI name, in association with the application server, determines the uniqueness of the connector and EJB. All other names and properties can be duplicated.

In this example, AccountQueryStatefulEJB, the default JNDI name is the task name + state management mode + EJB. Using the same task name, the default connector JNDI name would be AccountQueryConnector.

Application server:  The application server designated on the Choose Application Server page of the J2EE Session EJB Wizard. The application server name is a combination of the machine name, application server type, and the instance or domain name.

Status:  This is the current status, either deployed or not deployed, or download only, of the application. When you finish creating and packaging the connector and EJB, then the newly packaged application is listed with a status of Not deployed or Download Only.
