Editing IDs

If they are not currently in use, you can edit ID properties, move IDs from one pool to another, and delete existing IDs.

Some ID properties, such as host mappings, are common to all ID types, while some properties vary, depending on the ID type. For example, T27 station IDs can be terminal IDs or host printer IDs. UTS terminal IDs can be set up for use with specific host applications.

You cannot edit the properties of an allocated ID. Because IDs in directory service pools exist only while allocated, you cannot edit their properties.

  2. Under ID Management, choose Configure IDs.
