Publishing and Exporting Task Files

When you have finished generating task interface objects, you can publish the corresponding task files to your MCS server, which functions as a controlled repository, from which you can make them available for use by other Attachmate products.

You can also export task files and generated task beans to a different location on your local network, to make them available for use by Services Builder for CICS or your own applications. Task beans contain reusable pieces of Java code, compressed into a JAR file, which you can import into your applications via a class path.

To publish or export a task file
  1. From the Designer Studio window, from the Designer menu, click Task Builder for CICS.

  2. From the Task Builder Guide, click the Publish/Export button.
