Editing a Task Definition

You can edit an existing task definition. Also, when your requirements for a new task definition are similar to an existing task definition, you may find it easier to duplicate and modify an existing task.

To edit a task definition
  1. In the Designer Studio window, from the Designer menu, click Task Builder for CICS.

  2. From the Task Builder Guide, click the Task Definition button.

    A list of existing task definitions is displayed.

  3. Select a task definition, and then do one of the following:
    Choose this button
    Edit Open and make changes to the selected task definition.
    Copy Make a copy of the selected task definition, which you can then edit.
    Rename Save the selected task definition using a new name that you specify.
    Delete Delete the selected task definition from the table of task definitions, and from the folder in which it is stored.
