Configuring MCS Event Logging

Events are monitored and stored within your system using the MCS Event service. Three types of events can be logged; errors, warnings, and information.

After event logging has been enabled, you can filter the events to be logged and manage the log files in the way that best suits your needs.

Note Server management events are automatically logged.
To configure event logging options in MCS
  1. In the MCS left pane under Services, click Events.

  2. Under Events, click Manage Events.

  3. To configure event logging, from the Settings, File Mgmt and Filters pages, modify the settings as needed.

    For example, in the Settings page, you can specify whether to create a new log file when the maximum log file size is reached, or to overwrite an existing file.

    For details on any of the options on these pages, click Help in the upper-right corner of the page while it is displayed.

  4. Click Save.
