Copying Tasks

Use the copy task function to duplicate an existing task within a project. By copying an existing task, you can use tasks as foundations for other tasks that may require only minor modifications to be valid.

To copy a task
  1. Open the task you want to copy in the designer.

  2. From the Task menu, choose Copy Task.

    You are prompted for the name of the new task.

  3. Click OK to rename the task.

    The copied task is displayed in the Task pane and is available for editing.
