Creating Pool Schedules

You can create an automatic timetable for starting and stopping session pools. It can be set up to handle weekends, holidays, evening hours, or any schedule that meets your business requirements.

If you set up a pool schedule after the pool has been started, it will be automatically started and stopped according to the schedule you set. However, if you manually stop a pool, the scheduler will not automatically restart it.

To create a schedule for stopping and starting pools
  1. In the MCS left pane, point to Products and then click Services Builder for Screens.

  2. Under Services Builder for Screens, expand the Servers tree, expand a run-time server, then click Configure.

  3. From the Configure page, click the Pools tab.

  4. Double-click Scheduler.

  5. In the Pool Scheduler dialog box, select Enable Scheduler.

  6. Enter start and stop times, and select the days of the week on which they will have effect. Click OK.

  7. Restart the Runtime Service to start the Pool Scheduler.

If the Automatically Start Pool option in the General Configuration dialog box has been cleared, you must start the pool manually before scheduling takes effect.
