Modifying Settings for Existing Session Pools

To modify most of the settings for an existing session pool, you must stop the pool before you make changes. Scheduling and the Initial Sessions and Automatically Start Pool options can be modified while the pool is running.

To modify a session pool
  1. If necessary, stop the pool.

    For instructions, see Starting and Stopping Session Pools.

  2. In the MCS left pane, in the tree under the run-time server you are configuring, click Configure.

  3. Click the Pools tab.

  4. Under Select Pool to Configure, select the pool you want to modify.

  5. Under Select Item to Configure, choose one or more of the following options:

    Specify the criteria the pool will use for session allocation and threads. The Initial Sessions and Automatically Start Pool options can be modified while the pool is running. General
    Associate the pool with a NavMap and set various session options. NavMap
    Set up a pool of user names and passwords for your sessions. Logon
    Select options for creating new connections. Connection Options
    Set configuration options for automatically starting and stopping session pools. These options can be changed while the pool is running. Scheduler
  6. When you are finished, restart the pool if it has been stopped.
