Adding Run-time Servers in MCS

After starting the Runtime Service on your server (referred to as a run-time server), you must add the run-time server to MCS. Then you can create and monitor session pools for that server. The Runtime Service is started automatically after installation.

To add a new run-time server to MCS
  1. If it is not already started, start the Runtime Service that you want to add to MCS.

For information about starting a Runtime Service, see Starting and Stopping Run-time Servers.

  2. In the MCS left pane, point to Products and then click Services Builder for Screens.

  3. Under Services Builder for Screens, click Servers.

  4. In the MCS right pane, on the Servers page, click New Server.

  5. On the New Server - Information page, type the information requested in the fields provided.

To change the RMI port address, you must change the RMI port on the runtime server and then enter the new RMI port address here. For information about changing the RMI port for the runtime server, see Configuring Run-time Servers.

To copy, edit, or delete a run-time server
  1. In the MCS left pane, point to Products and then click Services Builder for Screens.

  2. Under Services Builder for Screens, click Servers.

  3. Select the server you want to copy, edit, or delete, then click the appropriate button in the lower right corner of the Servers page.
