Editing an Application View

To edit an existing application view, you must log in to the Application View Console on the WebLogic application server. Once you have successfully logged in, the Application View Console page appears. This page lists the folders that contain the application views.

To edit an application view
  1. From the Application View Console, select an application view.

    The Application View Summary page is displayed.

  2. From the Application View Summary page, if the application view is deployed, choose Undeploy, then, when the Undeploy link is replaced by Edit, choose Edit.

    -or-

    From the Application View Summary page, if the application view is not deployed, choose Edit.

    The Application View Administration page is displayed.

  3. From the Application View Administration page:
    Choose
    To
    Edit in the Description section Change the description of the Application View.
    Reconfigure Connection in the Connection Criteria section Change connection parameters.
    The appropriate link in the Services section Edit, remove, or view a service or its related schema.
  4. Choose Save after you have finished making the desired changes.

  5. To add a service, choose Add Service.

    The Add Service page appears.

  6. On the Add Service page, type the following information:
    In this field
    Type
    Name A unique service name within the application view.
    Task ID The identifier of the Services Builder task to be executed.
    Task File The path or URL of the Services Builder task file that contains the task to be executed. The path is relative to the WebLogic Application Server installation.
    Timeout The timeout value in milliseconds.
    Description A description of the task and its function.
  7. Choose Add the Service to save the service and return to the Application View Administration page.

  8. To edit more application views, choose the Application View Console link at the top of the page.

    -or-

    To deploy this application view, choose Continue.
