Deploying an Application View

Deploying an application view makes it available to process services. Before an application view can be deployed, it must have at least one service associated with it.

To add a service to an existing application view, see Editing an Application View.

Before you can deploy an application, you must log in to the Application View Console on the WebLogic application server. The Application View Console page displays the folders that contain the application views.

Note If the Application View Console is currently open to the Application View Administration page, go directly to Step 3.
  1. From the Application View Console, choose an application view that has not been deployed.

Target Fraction of Maximum Pool Size The ideal number of Services Builder instances to keep in the pool, expressed as a percentage of the maximum pool size. This value must be greater than 0 and less than 1. In most circumstances, 0.1 is an appropriate selection.
Pool Shrinkage Enable this option to allow the pool to shrink.

Choose Save to save the application view and its deployment properties without deploying it.

The Application View Summary page is displayed.

  6. If you deployed the application view, you can test existing services by clicking the appropriate test link. Keep in mind that you need to configure a pool in the Runtime Service for Screens in order for your tasks to execute. The application view expects to receive the same inputs XML that you would provide to underlying Services Builder tasks.
