Goal

Your task will need two things; 1) a session to connect to the host, and 2) access to the Runtime Service for Screens server to convert the data stream from the host format to the format needed by your task interface object.

Method

Install Runtime Service for Screens, start it, then add it to MCS for configuration. Using MCS, create a pool of sessions that will be available for your task to use for host access. Then associate your tasks with an agent cluster of client computers, and with one or more registered run-time servers. Finally, you'll need to configure the environment for the client application.

To configure and start your run-time environment, you use these components:

Before You Start

  1. Add your Runtime Service for Screens server to MCS.

  2. Create session pools for your task.
