Configure Event Logging Options in MCS

You can specify which events you want to log, the maximum number of log files to save, and the maximum size of each log file.

You can make changes to your event logging options in MCS at any time. Depending on the type of changes you make, changes may be applied only to the current log file and subsequent log files.

To configure event logging options in MCS
  1. In the MCS left pane, point to Services and then click Events.

  2. In the MCS left pane under Services, click Events.

  3. Under Events, click Manage Events.

  4. To configure event logging, from the Settings, File Mgmt and Filters pages, modify the settings as needed.

    For example, in the Settings page, you can specify whether to create a new log file when the maximum log file size is reached, or to overwrite an existing file.

    For details on any of the options on these pages, click Help in the upper-right corner of the page while it is displayed.

  5. Click Save.
