An unrecorded screen, which is displayed when a task fails during testing, can indicate one of three things:
See Adding a Branch to a Task for more information.
In order for your task to run successfully, the designer must recognize each task step as unique. Task steps that follow transient steps must be reviewed carefully.
Choose More Info to display the Task Failure Information dialog box. This dialog box provides detailed information to help you diagnose step and recognition rule failures.See Modifying Recognition Rules for information on using recognition rules or Defining Rules with Expressions for information on writing a valid recognition rule.
The host response timeout sets the interval of time (in milliseconds) for Task Builder, when testing a task, to wait for a screen before timing out. The value must be greater than one. The default setting is 12000 milliseconds or 12 seconds. The host response timeout is set on the Recording page, which is available by selecting Options from the Tools menu.
