This message is displayed when you stop recording a top-level or login task, and the current screen is not recognized as the initial screen or starting point of your task.
Since a task that does not navigate back to its initial screen is not valid, you must decide how to handle certain circumstances in order to record a valid task.
The current screen is the same as the initial screen for this task: Occasionally the current screen is not recognized as the initial screen, choose this if you have verified that the current step and the initial step are the same. The navigation path will be redirected to the initial step, bypassing the current step, and the task will be valid. If, however, the current step and the initial step are not the same, the task will not run.For example, some hosts have one or more "banner" screens the only appear when the host connection is first established. In this case, it would not only be impossible to navigate back to the initial screen, but inappropriate to bypass the current screen in favor of the initial screen since they are different screens. The task would fail.
Choosing this option, you can disconnect from the host and stop recording, providing you with the ability to record a task without returning to the initial screen. In the Step Properties pane a Disconnect transition action displays when this option is chosen.

This option is useful for login tasks where there is no possibility of returning to the initial screen. Use it with caution, however, since connecting and disconnecting from the host is very time-consuming and, during runtime, login tasks are only reset when a pool is stopped. |
Choose Cancel to continue recording.
