Select the types of task interface objects you want to generate. Options in this dialog box provide default values for the Generate dialog box, and are global for all Task Builder projects. You can override them when you generate.
To display the Generating page, from the Tools menu, choose Options, and then choose the Generating tab.
Task File: A task file is an XML file that maps tasks to systems. A task file is always generated regardless of your other selections in this dialog box.
You can write applications that use the task file directly. When you write applications that use other types of task interface objects, the Runtime Service still makes use of the task file internally.
Directory Name (optional): Specify a directory under Attachmate/EAI/recordings/projectname in which to store your generated task file.
Java Beans: A Java bean is a reusable piece of Java code that represents one or more tasks in your project.
Service Bean: A service bean contains multiple tasks in a single bean, with one method for each task. Service beans can be used to create applications in any Java application development environment.
Properties: Click this button to edit the properties for your service bean. The Service Bean Properties dialog box displays.
Task Beans: Task beans contain a single task per bean. Applications that make use of task beans use the ITask interface.
Properties: Click this button to edit the properties for your task beans. The Task Beans Properties dialog box displays.
Web Services: Select the Web services you want to generate, and edit the properties for your selected Web services environment.
See Web Services Properties Dialog Box in the Related Topics list for information on the properties available for each supported Web service.
Apache Axis: Generate Web services for your Apache Axis environment.

You can also use J2EE session EJBs to deploy a task file in a J2EE-compliant environment to a supported application server. EJBs and resource adapters are generated in MCS after you've published your task.
In MCS, after selecting the appropriate product, click Deployments to register your application server and create your session EJBs. |
