Change the settings on this page to modify how your host screens appear and function. These settings affect the current session.
Appearance
Display model: Specifies the type of display model your session will emulate.
Status line style: Specifies the format of the status line: 3487 or 5250.
Status line separator: Specifies the format of the line that separates the status line from the rest of the display screen.
Miscellaneous
Host code page: A host code page is a table of numeric codes used by the host to represent language-specific characters such as ç and ø. To display characters correctly, you must select the code page actually used by your host. See your system administrator if you are not sure which code page to use.
Destructive backspace: If selected, pressing the BACKSPACE key deletes the previous character as it moves the cursor back.
Insert key toggle: Puts the INSERT key in toggle mode. In toggle mode, press INSERT to insert new characters as they display on the screen, and then press INSERT again to replace text as it displays. If this option is cleared, you must press RESET each time you want to change the insert/replace mode.
Support light pen: If selected, your mouse functions as a light pen would. Some host applications display fields that can be selected by touching a terminal screen with a light pen.
Support numeric field override: If selected, you can type alphanumeric data in any numeric field.
