Skip Screens Editor

The Skip Screens editor presents a selectable list of thumbnail images that represent the host screens navigated during an active session via the Interact tab. You can use these screens to create a skipped-screen sequence. At runtime, the skipped-screen sequence is initiated as an event by clicking a button or double-clicking a list or table control on a form.

List of Recorded Screens: A selectable list of thumbnail images that represent the host screens through which you navigated during an active session via the Interact page. From this list, you select the screens to add to your skipped-screen sequence.

Skip Screen: Adds the selected screen from the List of Recorded Screens to the Skipped Screen Sequence list.

Set End Screen: Adds the selected screen to the Skipped Screen Sequence list as the final screen in the skip screen sequence. This is the screen to which your end users will jump when they initiate the skipped-screen sequence using the button or list control that you provided on the Start Screen.

Remove Last: Removes the last addition that you made to the Skipped Screen Sequence list. You can make no other change to the sequence, except to remove the last screen.

Skipped Screen Sequence: Identifies the selections in your skipped-screen sequence, divided between three folders, as follows:

This folder
Contains
Start Screen The button or list control used to initiate the jump past the display of skipped host screens.
Skipped Screens The host screens excluded from display at runtime.
End Screen The screen reached from the Start Screen button or list control.

Convert to Event: Opens the Event editor and automatically builds an event which has the same effect as the skipped-screen sequence that you've built with the Skip Screens editor. Your new event will consist of one or more Sendkey actions, which process the skipped screens without displaying them, followed by a Display Form action, which displays the End Screen. This feature offers a flexible environment for modifying your skipped-screen sequence, or for integrating it with the rest of your application.
