Use the Screen Binding Editor to create a binding that associates host processed data with a particular field on a host screen. The bound field can be either an existing host field or a field that you define. On the From Control page, you specify the values to be sent from a control to a host field.
Send Control Value to Host Field: Sends the data value produced by the current form control to the host field selected in the displayed host screen.
Show User Fields: If selected, all user-defined fields on the host screen will be framed in light blue (cyan).
Show Host Fields: If selected, all host fields on the host screen will be framed in dark blue.
Create New User Field button: When selected, drag the pointer to select a new user-defined field.
Host Field/User Field list box: Displays the name of the selected field and allows users to select from complete field list.
Delete Selected User Field button: Removes the selected user-defined field from the host screen and list box.
Host Screen: Displays the current active host screen from which you select a field to bind with a control in your custom form.
Assign the Control Value to Global Variable(s): If selected, the control value can be assigned to any available global variables. You can also create new global variables to which the control value can be assigned.
Available Global Variable(s): Displays a list of previously defined global variables.
Arrow button: Adds a selected global variable to which you can assign a control value.
Delete button: Removes the previously added global variable from the Assign Control Value To field.
New Global button: Displays a text box where you can type a meaningful name to be used for a new global. The new global name will be added to the list of global variables and a control value can be assigned to it.
Assign Control Value To: Displays a list of global variables to which you have assigned a control.
