Connection Settings - T27 General Page

From the T27 General page, you can configure access to an A-Series or ClearPath NX host.

Host IP Address or Domain Name: Type the IP address or domain name of the ClearPath NX, ClearPath LX, or A Series host.

Terminal Type: Select the terminal emulation type to use.

If you select Auto Select, a connection with the host is established using the first terminal emulation type that works. (Each possible terminal emulation type is tried sequentially until a successful connection is established.) Selecting Auto Select is appropriate in most cases. However, some hosts require that the terminal type be specified. If your host requires this, select the appropriate terminal emulation type.

Use ID Management: Obtain a station ID from MCS. If you clear this option, you must specify a station ID.

Note If you use ID management, when you create the pool in MCS, under Pool Type, select Named. You'll need to assign an ID to that pool before you can establish a connection with the host and create an application. To ensure that ID pools function correctly, each pool should contain IDs for only one Unisys host type.

Station ID: Type the station identifier (up to 16 characters) to use with this configuration. You can specify a station ID only if Use ID Management is cleared. Each station ID should be unique within the entire network.

Pool Name: If you selected Use ID Management, type the name of the named pool from which to obtain an ID. If Use ID Management is not selected, this option is ignored.

MCS Server Address: If you selected Use ID Management, type the IP address or domain name of the server where MCS is installed. If Use ID Management is not selected, this option is ignored.
