Connection Settings - UTS Connection Page

To connect to a host, you must configure at least one connection.

Connections: Displays the connections that currently exist.

When you create a UTS configuration for the first time, this list includes two predefined entries, DCP and HLC. However, these predefined entries do not include a host address. To complete the configuration of the predefined entries, you must select the connection name and then type the IP address or domain name of a Distributed Communications Processor (DCP) or Host LAN Controller (HLC) in the Host Address box. You might also have to change the Connection Type.

When you select a connection in this list, the page displays the configuration settings associated with that connection.

Note If you do not want to use the predefined connections, you can delete them and create new connections.

New: Creates a new connection.

Delete: Deletes the selected connection.

Host Address: Type the IP address or domain name of the DCP or HLC.

Connection Type: Select the method you want to use to connect to the host.

DCP-Gateway Mode: A DCP that can accept only host connection requests.

DCP-IP Router Mode: A DCP that can accept host connection requests and initiate host connection requests at other DCPs or HLCs.

HLC: An HLC.
