Assign Field Data Dialog Box

From the Assign Operation Inputs dialog box, you can assign any eligible data to be sent to a specified host field along with the AID key sent by your Sendkey action.

Eligible Data

Lists the data elements eligible to be assigned to be sent with the AID key during the current event. These include:

Properties button: Displays the properties for the selected item. If there are no associated properties, this button is unavailable.

Screen Image Pane

When the Assign Field Data dialog box initially appears, this pane shows a representation of the host screen selected under Properties, in the Send AID Key to this Screen field. This is the target screen.

To select a field to which you can map data, click the specific field on the target screen representation, or choose the field from the Screen list.

Do not select an application screen or form A representation of the target screen (the screen selected under Sendkey Properties in the Send AID Key to this Screen field) is displayed within this pane, offering a way for you to view the fields you can select, and to specify the host field to send the data to.
Select the current host application screen (indicated by an icon showing a green screen) A representation of that screen is displayed within this pane, providing an easy method for you to view the fields you can select, and a way to create your own fields.
Select the current form A representation of that form is displayed within this pane. Any unprotected fields that were automatically created when the form was generated will be available, together with any controls accepting input that you may have added.

Show User Fields: If selected, all user-defined fields on the host screen appear framed in light blue (cyan). If you are viewing the target screen, you will not be able to show user fields.

Show Host Fields: If selected, all host fields on the host screen appear framed in dark blue. If a Host Application screen is not selected, this option does not appear.

Create New User Field button: When selected, drag the pointer to select a new user-defined field. If you are viewing the target screen, you will not be able to create user fields.

Host Field/User Field list box: Displays the name of the selected field and allows you to select from complete field list. If a Host Application screen is not selected, this option does not appear.

Delete Selected User Field button: Removes the selected user-defined field from the host screen and list box. If a Host Application screen is not selected, this option does not appear.

Add Mapping button: If, under Eligible Data, you selected a data element, and, under Screen, you selected a host field, choose this button to map the data element to the host field.

Mapped Items

Displays the eligible data/host field mappings that have been created and that will be processed with the current Sendkey action.

Screen Pane

This pane shows the target screen as the top node, with the fields available on that screen listed beneath it.

screen name list: Shows the host fields available for mapping. To map a constant to a host field, right-click the field, and then choose Map Constant.

Properties button: Displays the properties for the selected field. If there are no associated properties, this button is unavailable.
