Assign Function Inputs Dialog Box

From the Assign Function Inputs dialog box, you can assign any eligible data to be used as a function input.

Eligible Data

Lists the data elements eligible to be assigned as function inputs during the current event. These include:

• fields on the current host application screen
• controls on the current form
• any previously assigned global variables
• two client runtime environment variables (UserName or IPAddress)
• data elements created by previous actions in the current event (for example, output from a Web Service action)

Properties button: Displays the properties for the selected item. If there are no associated properties, this button is unavailable.

Screen Image Pane

Displays the selected screen image, based upon your selection under Eligible Data (what you selected to be displayed by the current action). To select an input to which you can map data, click the specific control on the form representation, or choose the control from the Form Inputs list.

The current form	A representation of that form is displayed within this pane. Any unprotected fields that were automatically created when the form was generated will be available, together with any controls accepting input that you may have added.
The current host application screen (indicated by an icon showing a green screen)	A representation of that screen is displayed within this pane, providing an easy method for you to view the fields you can select, and a way to create your own fields.

Show User Fields: If selected, all user-defined fields on the host screen appear framed in light blue (cyan). If a Host Application screen is not selected, this option does not appear.

Show Host Fields: If selected, all host fields on the host screen appear framed in dark blue. If a Host Application screen is not selected, this option does not appear.

Create New User Field button: When selected, drag the pointer to select a new user-defined field. If a Host Application screen is not selected, this option does not appear.

Host Field/User Field list box: Displays the name of the selected field and allows you to select from complete field list. If a Host Application screen is not selected, this option does not appear.

Delete Selected User Field button: Removes the selected user-defined field from the host screen and list box. If a Host Application screen is not selected, this option does not appear.

Add Mapping button: If, under Eligible Data, you selected an element to be displayed, and, under Form Inputs, you selected a function, choose this button to map the data element to the function input.

Mapped Items

Displays the eligible data/input mappings that have been created and that will be processed as the current Function action.

Function Inputs Pane

Lists the inputs accepted by the function. Select an input to which you want data to map.

Properties button: Displays the properties for the selected input.
