Use the options in the Host Mappings dialog box to map multiple IP addresses or DNS names to a single host name. Then, assign the host name to specific IDs.
To display the Host Mappings dialog box, on the ID Properties dialog box, choose the browse button [...] to the right of the Host option.
The Host Mappings dialog box can also be displayed by choosing the Host Mappings toolbar button.
Host Mappings
Host Names: Displays a list of host names that can be assigned to an ID. Select a name in this list to see all the IP addresses or DNS names that are associated with this host.
Delete: Delete the selected host name. If you delete a host name that is in use, all of the IDs that use that name are updated automatically to so that no host is selected in their ID properties, which means they can be used with any host. If an ID is in use, it continues to use the host name until it is released.
New Name: Type a new host name to add to the list. Host names cannot contain commas or spaces.
Add: Add the new name to the list of host names.
Host Associations: Displays a list of IP addresses and DNS names that are associated with the host selected under Host Names. Host associations cannot contain spaces or commas.
Delete: Delete the selected host association.
New Association: Type an IP address or DNS name to associate with the selected host name. Each association can be used with only one host name.
Add: Add the new IP address or DNS name to the list of host associations.
