Event log filter list: Select or clear items in the product list to specify the types of event log entries that display in the event list. Click  next to an event type, or double-click the event type, to expand the list of events.

Event types: Further specify the types of log entries that display in the event list by selecting the severities that display. Severity types include Information, Warning, and Error.

Apply Filters: Apply the settings you have selected and refresh the event list.

Event list: This area displays the list of events that have been logged in the current file. The following information is displayed for each event:

• Type—The severity of the event: Information, Warning, or Error.

• Date—The date and time that the event occurred.

• Product—The product that generated the event.

• Category—A product-specific category (defined by the product that generated the event).

• EventCode—A product-specific event code within the specified category (defined by the product that generated the event).

• User—The user that generated the event (defined by the product that generated the event).

• Computer—The computer that generated the event (defined by the product that generated the event).

• Correlation ID—The unique descriptor assigned by MCS to each event.

• Index—A number that is associated with a correlation ID, and is incremented (indexed) by 1 as the correlation ID is passed through each separate task (or process) in a multi-step transaction.

Event Message: Displays a description of the selected event.

Event Raw Data: Displays additional detail about the selected event.

View Other Files: Select another log file to view.

Refresh: Refresh the current log file, displaying any events that have occurred since you last accessed the file.
