Service Control Manager: Status Page

Service: Displays the short name of the service. Click a service to display the full name of the service at the bottom of the page.

Services must be defined as being "manageable" by Management & Control Services (MCS) in order to appear in this list.

Server: Displays the name of the server on which the service is installed.

Status: Displays the current (real-time) status of the service. Values include Running, Stopped, or Waiting to Stop.

Initial State: Indicates whether or not the service should be running (up or down) when the server is started. The initial state is defined within the service itself.

Start: Select one or more services from the list and then click this button to start the service(s).

Note To select multiple services, hold down the Ctrl key as you click each service. To select a contiguous group of services, click the first service, hold down the Shift key, and then click the last service.

Stop: Select one or more services from the list and then click this button to stop the service(s).

Details: Select a service from the list and then click this button to show a status message for the service. Status messages are defined by each service.
