T27 Keystrokes

The following table lists the keys that you can press to send the corresponding action when interacting with the host in a T27 session in Presentation Designer.

When you see two keys connected by a plus sign (+), press and hold down the first key, and then press the second key. For all keystrokes that involve the numeric keypad, NumLock must be off. All letter keys are lowercase letters.

Keystroke Action Description
BACKSPACE BackSpace Moves the cursor one column to the left in the same line without deleting any characters.

If the cursor is in the first column of the line, it moves to the last column of the preceding line. If the cursor is in the first column of the first line, it moves to the last column of the last line.

ENTER CarriageReturn Moves the cursor to the first column of the next line (in nonforms mode) or to the next unprotected field (in forms mode).
CTRL+DELETE ClearToEndOfLine Deletes all text from the cursor to the end of the line.

In forms mode, this keystroke deletes all text from the cursor to the end of the field.

CTRL Ctrl Puts the session in control mode.
CTRL+END CursorToEndOfLine Moves the cursor to the last position on the line.
END CursorToEndOfPage Moves the cursor to the last position on the page.
CTRL+Left Arrow CursorWordLeft Moves the cursor to the first character of the previous word.
CTRL+Right Arrow CursorWordRight Moves the cursor to the first character of the next word.
DELETE DeleteFromLine Deletes the character at the cursor location and shifts the remaining characters on the line to the left.
CTRL+d >DeleteLine Deletes the line where the cursor is located.
CTRL+q DisableForms Turns off forms mode.
Down Arrow Down Moves the cursor to the same column of the next line.

If the cursor is in the last line, it moves to the same column of the first line.

CTRL+w EnableForms Turns on forms mode.
CTRL+1–Ctrl+0 F1–F10 Perform a host-defined function.
HOME Home Moves the cursor to the first column of the first line (in nonforms mode) or the first unprotected field in the session window (in forms mode).
INSERT Ins Toggles between overwrite mode and insert-in-line mode, and inserts a space at the cursor location.
Left Arrow Left Moves the cursor one column to the left in the same line.

If the cursor is in the first column of the line, it moves to the last column of the preceding line. If the cursor is in the first column of the first line, it moves to the last column of the last line.

/ on the numeric keypad Local Puts the session in local mode.
Page Down PageDown Displays the next page.

If the last page already is displayed, this keystroke displays the first page.

Page Up PageUp Displays the previous page.

If the first page already is displayed, this keystroke displays the last page.

* on the numeric keypad Receive Puts the session in receive mode.
Right Arrow Right Moves the cursor one column to the right in the same line.

If the cursor is in the last column of the line, it moves to the first column of the next line. If the cursor is in the last column of the last line, it moves to the first column of the first line.

CTRL+SHIFT+1–CTRL+SHIFT+0 ShiftF1–ShiftF10 Perform a host-defined function.
F5 Specify Transmits the cursor location to the host in ASCII format.
TAB Tab Moves the cursor to the next tab stop (in nonforms mode) or unprotected field (in forms mode).
SHIFT+TAB TabBack Moves the cursor to previous tab stop (in nonforms mode) or unprotected field (in forms mode).
+ on the numeric keypad Transmit Sends data to the host.

Depending on the configuration, this keystroke sends the data from home to the cursor position or from home to the end of the page.

CTRL+F2 TransmitLine Sends the data from the beginning of the line to the cursor location.
Up Arrow Up Moves the cursor to the same column of the preceding line.

If the cursor is in the first line, it moves to the same column in the last line.
