Setting the Host Code Page

If you connect to a 3270 or 5250 host when you first create your project (by basing the project on an active host session), the Connection Information dialog box displays a Modify button which leads to the Host Settings dialog box for the selected host type so you can set a host code page for that session. You can add a host connection at a later time by using the Host menu. The procedure for setting the host code page in the Host Settings dialog box is the same in both instances.

To set the host code page

In the Presentation Designer's Editor pane, click the Customize tab.
In the Forms pane on the left, under Host, the host connections for your project are listed.
Right-click on the host name, or select the host and choose the Host menu from the menu bar, then choose Host Settings.
The Host Settings dialog box appears.
Select the Code Page node, select a host code page from the drop-down list, then click the OK button.

If your application connects to multiple hosts, they must all use the same host code page.
