Configure Inheritance of SFTP Accessible Directories

When you create user and group subconfigurations, you can configure whether those users and groups inherit access to SFTP directories.

To configure inheritance of SFTP accessible directories

  1. Open the subconfiguration dialog box for the user or group you are configuring:
    1. From the server console, click Configuration.
    2. Under Subconfiguration, click Group Configuration or User Configuration.
    3. Select a group or user and then click Edit (or click Add to create a new group or user).
  2. From the list of available panes, click SFTP Directories.
  3. Enable (select) or Disable (clear) Inherited global and group directories as follows:

    Allow user access to all accessible directories (user-specific directories, group-specific directories, and global directories)

    Allow user access to user-specific directories and group-specific directories, but not to global directories

    Allow user access to user- specific directories only

    The group-specific value of this setting has no effect when user-specific inheritance is disabled.
