Windows Files

Notes:

  • Changes to configuration file settings do not take effect until you reload the settings or restart the service. (If a restart is required, that information is given in the keyword description.)
  • By default, changes to map files do not take effect until you reload the settings or restart the service. You can modify this behavior using the map file DynamicMapFile setting.

The data folder location is configurable. The default is:

  • Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008:
    \ProgramData\Attachmate\ReflectionPKI\
  • Windows XP, Windows Server 2003:
    \Documents and Settings\all users\Application Data\Attachmate\ReflectionPKI\

    pki_config

    data folder\config\

    Configuration file

    The console updates this file when you modify settings on any of these panes: General, Local Store, Trusted Chain, and Revocation.

    You can also edit the file manually. See pki_config Configuration File Reference.

    pki_mapfile

    Identity mapping file

    The console updates this file when you modify settings on the Identity Mapper pane.

    pki_key

    data folder\config\

    PKI Services Manager's private key

    The server uses a public/private key pair to establish its identity to calling applications.

    pki_pub

    data folder\config\

    PKI Services Manager's public key

    Install this key on hosts running applications that make calls to PKI Services Manager.
