Record Macro Dialog Box
Getting there
- Select the Tools ribbon.
- From the Macros group, click Record Macro.
Note: This dialog box applies only to 3270 and 5250 session macros.
From this dialog box, you can configure the amount of time for the host to process a command and refresh the screen before sending more commands. The wait timeout value should be greater than the settle time.
Host wait timeout (secs)
Sets the maximum wait period for the host screen to settle after a command or event. For most hosts, the default value (30 seconds) is optimal. For slower systems or connections, increase this value.
Screen settle time (secs)
Sets the amount of time the screen must be idle after the last screen change and before the macro runs additional commands or interactions. This ensures that the process of drawing data to the screen between host interactions is complete. In most cases, the default value (3 seconds) is optimal.
