Record a Script

Use the FTP Client script recorder to record actions as commands—you do not have to do any writing or programming to create a script that can be played back later. Scripts can automate many sorts of tasks (for example, configuring file transfer options, connecting to an FTP site, or transferring files).

To record a script

  1. On the Script menu, click Start Recording. When the script recorder is active, a camera icon appears in the status bar.
  2. Perform the actions you want to record.
  3. On the Script menu, click Stop Recording.
  4. Type a name for the script in the File name box. The default extension for script files is .rfs.
  5. Click Save.

Note: You cannot record scripts when you are connected to two sites.
