Description

Returns (first syntax line) or specifies (second syntax line) a sort sequence for the data being transferred. The specified sort sequence determines the order of characters in the alphabet when fields are alphabetized. The sort sequence also affects any comparisons based on characters in the fields. For example, the following statement specifies use of the EBCDIC hexadecimal sort sequence:

Seesion.Xfr400SortSeq = "*HEX"

This property affects AS/400 data transfer and is only relevant for 5250 sessions.

Values

The default is "*JOB". Possible values are:

*HEX Uses the EBCDIC hexadecimal sort sequence.

*JOB Uses the AS/400 job default.

*LANGIDSHR Uses a shared weight table.

*LANGIDUNQ Uses a unique weight table.

You can also specify a table name. Use this syntax:

<library name>/<file name>

This string can be up to 220 characters long.
