Programming with Reflection

object.PrintSuppressNewlines = Value

Data type

Returns (first syntax line) or specifies (second syntax line) how Reflection handles the suppression of extra blank lines in 3270 Printing (3287 Printer Emulation).

If a line of characters goes to the rightmost edge of the printable area, an automatic new line is generated. If a new line character (0x15) occurs in the data stream after an automatic new line, two new lines occur, which creates a blank line in the printout. When this property is True (the default), Reflection ignores the data stream new line character so that printed output does not include a blank line.

When this property is False, the new line is not ignored and blank lines are printed. (This matches the behavior seen in IBM's Pcomm product.)

The default value is True.
